Project 1000 is a social enterprise on a mission to transform the economic landscape for rural Indian craftswomen. We train and employ female artisans, providing them with sustainable year-round employment by creating a global craft-based brand.
Our goal is to create a profound, systemic impact by directly linking their traditional artistry to discerning, upscale international markets.Every accessory brought to life under the Project 1000 name is more than a product; it is a story of heritage and empowerment.
Our collections feature exquisite, handmade pieces that are meticulously crafted, blending heritage techniques of crochet, macrame, and handloom with contemporary design language. We collect cotton jersey waste directly from garment manufacturers, ensuring that every beautiful piece also carries a message of environmental responsibility.
The heart of our mission is empowerment through economic independence. We provide our artisans with comprehensive training in soft skills, communication, and entrepreneurship, equipping them with the confidence and knowledge to become leaders in their communities and beyond.
By choosing Project 1000, you are not just acquiring a unique piece of craft; you are becoming a vital partner in a movement that champions ethical production, values the human hand behind the product, and invests directly in the prosperity of rural women and the preservation of India's rich craft legacy.
