SOLAPUR CHADDAR

Chaddar means a medium-weight blanket familiar to most Indian households due to its vibrant colourful motifs and lasting up to 2-3 generations. Solapur is a town near Mumbai that has a GI Tag for producing this handloom and jacquard loom cotton weave. We want to explore the everyday textiles of India that get overlooked in design and fashion.
